Derived from Eighteenth century models, it has always been highly appreciated for its practical and light qualities. The example has a spring but without the inner metallic structure. The band is formed by a pair of plates inserted in the horn and filed level. The effigy of a lily, the famous coat of arms of the city of Florence, is inserted in the handle. The characteristic pair of round ring nuts finishes off the foot.
