Knowing where in the world your knife is made is an important step in selecting a knife that meets your requirements. The country of manufacture can often reflect the price of the knife. Handmade knives can have from one hundred to more than two hundred production steps which is built into the price. Manufacturing cost in different countries can vary considerably. Some part of the world can manufacture goods far more economically without necessarily producing an inferior product. Each range of knives has its place whether in the economy group or the luxury group. It can be far less heartbreaking to lose a high quality yet inexpensive hunting knife made in China than an expensive German Solingen made knife. On the other hand a Solingen knife is a beautiful instrument and a joy to use. We like to encourage our customers to consider that regardless of where our knives are manufactured they come with the backing of major international manufacturers that guarantee their products through the manufacturers warranty.
